《呼啸山庄》是艾米丽·勃朗特1847年的小说,讲述了孤儿希斯克利夫与富家小姐凯茜的故事,他们之间如狂风暴雨般的感情纠结以及地位悬殊最终导致了悲惨结局。该小说自诞生以来已经被无数次的搬上银幕和舞台,最经典的版本是劳伦斯·奥利佛1939年的版本,最近的一个版本则是汤姆·哈迪主演的2009年的电视电影。
新版《呼啸山庄》最大的特点就是找了一群年轻演员挑大梁,其中扮演少年希斯克利夫的所罗门·格雷夫只有14岁,扮演大希斯克利夫的詹姆斯·豪森也只有25岁,之前完全没有表演经验。所罗门·格雷夫说,自己当时在一家商店橱窗看到剧组张贴的广告后,就去了,谁知真的就被选中了。谈及往事,他还在电影节媒体见面会上流下了泪水。
安德里亚·阿诺德是当今英国影坛颇有才华的一位女导演。2006年她导演的《红色之路》获得当年戛纳电影节评审团大奖,3年后她又凭借《鱼缸》再次获得该奖项。
安德里亚·阿诺德承认她是在20多岁时第一次读《呼啸山庄》,被深深打动,但她从未想过拍古装片,直到本片制片人找到她。“把这本书改编成电影简直是不可能的任务”,阿诺德说,“这是一本黑暗、怪异而深刻的小说,我知道你没法把整本书都塞进一部电影里,那样这部电影就不止2小时而是7小时了。不过我没有选择,一旦这个想法扎根在脑中,我就无法放下它,即使事情变得非常难,我也不能放弃”。

《人山人海》“要火”
本报威尼斯讯 (特派记者孙琳琳)继当地时间9月6日上午9点的媒体场因技术问题临时取消放映之后,晚上的公众放映场如期举行,不料在影片放映近一半时,影厅内的场灯因线路烧焦突然着火,现场可以闻到很浓的焦煳味,放映被迫中断,不少观众因担心引发火灾而惊慌离场。在经历了半小时的检查抢修工作之后,影片才接着进行了放映,不过观众已少了三分之一。在这戏坎坷的放映结束后,全体观众起立鼓掌对电影表达了敬意,威尼斯电影节主席马可·穆勒更是陪同观众看完整个电影并带头鼓掌。面对观众们的掌声,导演蔡尚君当场泪湿眼眶。
一天内遭遇两次放映事故,国内的电影人和影迷纷纷在微博上留言“这片子要火”。由于该片是本届威尼斯电影节第四部华语参赛片,因此国外媒体将指责声音送给了主席马可·穆勒,认为他与中国电影的关系“太过亲密”,且“毫不避讳”。
